Jazz Manouche is an extra-curricular musical ensemble that rehearses afternoons from 3:45-5:00 PM in the Orchestra Room (A115) beginning in September. We perform music associated with the Hot Club era of Paris during the 30's, in particular associated with music of Django Rheinhardt .Instrumentation traditionally included three guitars, fiddle, and string bass. Students from Jazz Manouche may perform at orchestra concerts, the ETHS Jazz Festival, lobby performances, as well as other events as called upon. This ensemble is open to advanced instrumentalists currently enrolled in a curricular music ensemble including orchestra, band, or choir.
